It’s the last weekday of the month, so that means you get a double-dose of The Glamour Less with a second post – this time on my top shopping picks for the month of May. For this shopping list, I looked for spring-to-summer transition pieces that could easily be dressed up or down, depending on the effect of the hot and humid weather on my motivation to get all dolled up. Though a couple of my picks are over $100 full-price (i.e., the C. Wonder dress and the Marc Jacobs top), these pieces are frequently on sale for well-below their ticket price. In fact, the MJ top is marked down right now to $92, but I’ve seen it go as low as $81 — and for any given C. Wonder sale, you’re likely to get at least 30% off full-priced styles.

This is the first year that I’ve lived within walking distance of a Nordstrom, so I’ve been popping in to scour the racks since day one of the sale. So far, I picked up share two incredible pieces that I can’t wait to start wearing.
1. Pour La Victoire Yves Medium Satchel in Navy

Ann Taylor Ponte Seamed Sheath Dress
I would like to begin by saying thank you, Ann Taylor; you are making my life easier one work dress at a time. Ann Taylor’s newest arrivals feature this darling white, nude, and black sheath dress that is so figure-flattering and, most excitedly, is long enough to fall to the tops of my knees. Seldom am I able to buy a dress right off the rack that is long enough for Continue Reading
